In October 2023, independent publisher Lost Island Press published The Memory Jumper by debut author Amanda Michelle Brown. It’s a YA fantasy thriller following Adelaide, a teen girl who hides her memory-manipulation powers by living in an underground safe house.
Fans of The Memory Jumper will be excited to hear that Brown is already back at work on her next project, which is unofficially titled Project Crow. She signed her second book deal on August 21, 2026, continuing her journey with the Lost Island team.
Project Crow is exceptionally exciting because it opens a new door for adult speculative fiction at Lost Island Press—historically a YA-only publisher—starting in 2028.
