The rules for using this website and buying from Lost Island Press, in plain words.

Who we are

Lost Island Press LLC owns and runs this website. “We” and “us” mean Lost Island Press. “You” means anyone who uses the site or buys from us. “Products” means our books, special editions, digital goods, and merchandise. By using the site or buying a product, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the site. Easy.

What you should know first

  • You must be at least 18 to make a purchase. If you’re not, get an adult to hit the button for you.
  • Books and digital products are generally non-refundable, unless damaged or defective.
  • Ebooks, audiobooks, and downloads are for your own personal use. Please don’t share them.
  • Our liability is limited to what you paid for the product in question.

Products and prices

  • We may update product details, pricing, or availability at any time.
  • Taxes, shipping, and other fees may apply depending on where you live.

Orders

When you place an order, you agree that:

  • The information you give us is correct.
  • Your payment method is valid.
  • Fulfillment times vary by product, especially for special editions and international printing.

We may cancel an order if we suspect fraud or something glitches, like an obvious pricing error.

Shipping and returns

  • Delivery times, shipping costs, and what we can replace or refund are on our Shipping & Returns page, which is part of these terms.
  • Once a package is handed to the carrier, delays are out of our hands.
  • You’re responsible for any customs, VAT, or import fees your country charges, except where the Shipping & Returns page says we’ve covered them (paperbacks ship duty paid).
  • Digital goods can’t be returned or refunded once delivered.

Digital products

  • With an ebook, audiobook, or download, you get a license for personal use.
  • You may not redistribute, upload, share, or resell digital files.

Basically: don’t pirate our stuff. We are a pirate-free island.

Ownership

Everything on this site, including text, images, branding, products, and media, belongs to Lost Island Press or our licensors. Please don’t copy, modify, reproduce, or distribute any part of the site without permission.

What we ask of you

  • Don’t use the site for anything unlawful.
  • Don’t try to breach its security.
  • Don’t harass or abuse our staff.
  • Don’t interfere with how the site works.

If you do, we can ban you from the site.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Their own terms apply to the payment itself.

What we can and can’t promise

  • To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

If these terms change

We may update these terms at any time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the changes.
